Business Writing Semester

Write for the professional world. Professional communication, presentations, and resumes & cover letters: three months of real-world writing skills with instructor feedback throughout. ½ credit.

This semester prepares students for the writing they’ll actually do after graduation. Over three units, students learn to communicate professionally, write and deliver presentations, and build a resume and cover letter – skills that serve them whether they’re headed to college, an internship, or a first job. Each unit focuses on a different professional context, and students produce polished, portfolio-ready work by the end. Instructor feedback on every activity. Weekly deadlines. Three one-month units that can be taken consecutively or spaced across your school year. All materials provided. ½ credit.
