This semester provides students with an overview of almost every question type seen on the new digital SAT test, with focus on the most frequently tested topics. These topics include word interpretation, supporting and weakening claims, and conventions of English. The course is also newly-developed to provide targeted prep for the updated, digital version of the SAT, which becomes available to students in Spring of 2024. Throughout this course, students will learn core content skills, test-taking strategies, and methods for improving their time management skills. Modules can begin at any time starting in September 2024 and may be taken in succession or spaced out over the semester or school year.

  • Week 1: An Introduction to Reading Questions
  • Week 2: Passage Details
  • Week 3: Whole-Text Concepts
  • Week 4: Arguments

Unit 2: Foundations of Writing

  • Week 1: An Introduction to Writing Questions
  • Week 2: Agreement and Usage
  • Week 3: Sentence Formation
  • Week 4: Punctuation

Unit 3: Advanced Topics of Reading and Writing

  • Challenging Question Types
  • Combining Ideas (Paired Texts)
  • Additional Topics in Writing
  • Additional Test-taking Strategies
