Grammar Skills Semester

Master the mechanics that make writing clear and powerful. Parts of speech, sentence structure, punctuation, style, and tone: comprehensive grammar instruction across three progressive months. ½ credit.

This semester covers grammar from the ground up and then goes further to help solidify the concepts into practice. Students start with the building blocks: parts of speech and sentence structure. From there, they move into paragraph construction, punctuation (commas, semicolons, run-ons, fragments and everything in between), and the mechanics of consistency and clarity. The final unit pushes into style and tone, teaching students not just how to write correctly, but how to make deliberate choices about how their writing sounds. This isn’t grammar worksheets. It’s progressive, practical grammar instruction with instructor feedback on every activity so students learn the rules and immediately apply them to real writing. Weekly deadlines. Three one-month units that can be taken consecutively or spaced across your school year. All materials provided. ½ credit.
