Write to Publish: Novel (High School)

Write, revise, and publish a novel in one year. Daily coaching, a dedicated beta readers group, and professional editing guide your student from first idea to finished book that we help you publish on Amazon.

This class takes high school students from first idea to published book with a professional editor, a dedicated beta readers group, and daily coaching guiding them every step of the way.

The first weeks focus on planning: building characters, mapping plot structure, and developing the world of the novel using structured planning tools provided as part of the course. Students don’t just start writing, but learn to think like a novelist first. From there, students write and revise inside an active online classroom where their coach reads and responds to their work throughout the week. This isn’t a once-a-week check-in. This is daily engagement with a professional who knows their story, their voice, and their goals. Students choose their own genre, subject matter, and creative direction. We teach the craft; what you write about is up to you.

What makes this class different from anything else available is the beta readers group. Students read each other’s work in progress, offer structured feedback, and learn to give and receive the kind of critique that real authors depend on. This isn’t a one-time reading. It’s ongoing, chapter-by-chapter peer collaboration, the same process used in college-level classes and professional writing groups. Annual classes are the only Write to Publish classes that include built-in peer collaboration throughout the writing process.

In the final weeks, students work with a professional editor on our team to prepare their manuscript for publication. They write an author bio, design their cover concept, draft their back blurb, and learn the real mechanics of getting a book from manuscript to marketplace. Students publish through Amazon KDP and walk away with a finished, published novel: their name on the cover, available for anyone to read.
