Business Writing for Presentations & Technology

Write and deliver presentations that communicate clearly. Learn to create professional visual aids, use slide decks effectively, and present research with confidence. Grades 9–12. Instructor feedback on every assignment.

Knowing how to present information professionally is a skill students will use in college, in job interviews, and throughout their careers. This workshop teaches students to write and create professional business presentations, including how to build visual aids, use PowerPoint and Google Slides effectively, present research and data clearly, and deliver their work with professional polish. Instructor feedback on every assignment. Weekly deadlines. 2–3 hours per week. All materials provided.

Week-by-Week: Week 1: Presentation Technology and Biography Slides | Week 2: Gathering & Summarizing Information | Week 3: Presenting Information | Week 4: Final Project Presentation

Intended For Grades: 9-12

Time Expectation:
  • Classes have weekly assignments. All assignments will be due midnight Friday EST each week. Assignments are intended to take approximately 2-3 hours per week.
Class Objectives:
  • Learn proper email etiquette for various situations
  • Study and create appropriate requests
  • Write a formal business letter
  • Prepare a proposal
Class Features:
  • Students will have the opportunity to communicate professionally as part of the class
  • Students will have weekly contact with a coach who evaluates mastery and skills.  Coaches also available via email all week long.
  • An online classroom will teach students time management and appropriate cyber behavior in a controlled environment.
