This workshop focuses on grammar for high school students to advance their skills. Weekly topics include: advanced comma constructions, parenthetical elements, coordinating adjectives, modifiers, parallelism, sentence consistency, sentence variety, and advanced punctuation . All classes begin the first Monday of each month.

Sample Syllabus

Time Expectation:

Classes have weekly assignments. All assignments will be due midnight Friday EST each week. Assignments are intended to take approximately 2-3 hours per week.

Class Objectives:

Identify syntax and varieties of sentences.
Analyze the structure of modifiers, parallel phrases, and multiple clauses in sentences
Practice grammatical structures using different points of view.
Understand proper usage of active and passive voice.
Utilize transitions, word choice, and sentence variety to create tone and style.

Class Features:

Students will have weekly contact with a coach who evaluates mastery and skills. Coaches also available via email all week long.
An online classroom will teach students time management and appropriate cyber behavior in a controlled environment.

All materials will be provided in the class.
