Introduction to Journalism

This workshop will teach students the purpose and structure of journalistic writing.  Starts the first Monday of every month. For grades 9-12.

Introduction to Journalism focuses on the principles and style of journalistic writing.  Topics include journalistic ethics and the freedom of the press, the purpose and style of various types of journalism (news, features, editorials, etc), and be introduced to proper interview techniques. Students will learn the purpose of journalism and complete one article including an interview.   Starts the first Monday of every month.

Space is limited. For grades 6-12
