College Prep Workshop: Reading & Analysis

Learn to read closely, pre-read effectively, and write strong analytical responses, which are the skills most required in college. Grades 10–12. Instructor feedback on every assignment.

One of the most important skills a student can bring to college is the ability to read a text closely, understand it quickly, and respond to it in writing. Most college courses require this, and most high school programs don’t teach it explicitly. This workshop covers close reading strategies, effective pre-reading techniques, and how to summarize and respond analytically.
